The Little Glass Kiln. Bottle Clocks & Fused Glass

These are some of the questions we are most often asked. Please also check our Terms and Conditions page for more information.

Q. Do you accept customers' own bottles for melting?

A. Unfortunately, we no longer offer this service.

Q. What shipping method do you use?

A. Shipping methods can vary dependent on the size of your order, but our standard FREE DELIVERY option is 2nd Class Recorded Delivery. This will require a signature upon receipt.

Q. What happens in the event of an item being lost in the post?

A. In the rare event of an item going missing in the post, Royal Mail states that an investigation and claim cannot be made until 15 days have passed since postage of the item. As soon as this deadline has passed, we will offer you either a full refund via Paypal, or a replacement, subject to the appropriate bottle being available. before this date, it may be an idea to check with neighbours, and your local post collection office, as occasionally 'lost' items turn up in these places, having been signed for by a neighbour, or returned to the delivery office in error.

Q. What do we do if an item is received either damaged or broken?

A. Please check your item as soon as you receive it. If damage is discovered, you must contact us within 7 days of receipt for a claim to be accepted. Please retain all original packaging, and the damaged item. Please contact us by email, or webiste contact form in the first instance, and wait for our reply. We would then ask that you return the item and all packaging by recorded delivery, and upon receipt of the item, we will provide a full refund through Paypal, or a replacement item if one is available. Please note, we can only offer a refund / replacement upon receipt of your item, so you must return this by recorded delivery, to ensure that there is proof of receipt.

Q. Do you deliver to / accept orders from outside the UK?

A. Unfortunately not. We are only able to accept orders from and deliver within the UK at this time.

Q. How long does an order take to complete?

A. We state that we aim to ensure dispatch within 14 working days of receipt of your order, (although it is often much quicker than this). This is to give us time to make your clock / dish / keyring etc. for you, as we usually make each item specifically for a cutomer upon receipt of your order. We do, however, keep a small stock of ready made items, and if one of these are available, we will ship your item to you the next working day. At busy times (eg. Christmas. during postal disputes), please ensure that you order you item in plenty of time. If you are unsure, please don't hesitate to contact us, and we should be able to give you an idea of how long an item should take to reach you.

Q. Do you accept wholesale orders?

A. We are happy to quote for wholesale orders from breweries and gift shops within the UK. At busy times, there may be a wait for your items to be delivered. However, we can usually quote an estimated time at the time of enquiry if required. Free UK delivery does not apply to wholesale orders. For more information, please use our contact form to get in touch, providing us with your name, email address, and business name/ type, and we'll be in touch!

Q.How do I care for my bowls/platters?

A. We do not recommend using a dishwasher to clean your items. Instead, they should be wiped with a damp cloth. The bottles can be handwashed in warm water, although this may loosen the feet. In this event, they can be safely re-attached with a spot of superglue.
